Demography:  the statistical study of human populations especially with reference to size and density, distribution, and vital statistics

The Community Services section is home to the Information Resource Group, which compiles and analyzes demographic and economic data, creates reference and thematic maps, and publishes the Population and Development Report.

The Population & Development Report is a compilation of data and statistics from county, state, and federal sources. The “chapters” are organized into four categories: Population, Housing, Economic Indicators, and Reference Materials.  Archived Demographic Reports contain data and information published in past years. The most current US Census information about Douglas County and Highlands Ranch is available in Useful Census Profiles.  Additional information can be found by checking Useful Demographic Links
