Business Resources
Economic Gardening is an innovative, entrepreneur-centered economic growth strategy providing small businesses with access to strategic information, connections to customers and connections to other businesses, using data and information sources to which small businesses might not otherwise have access. An alternative to the more traditional "economic hunting" model that builds the economy through recruiting businesses from elsewhere, "economic gardening" supports existing businesses in their efforts to succeed and expand. In a joint venture with the Chamber of Commerce of Highlands Ranch, Douglas County is conducting a pilot Economic Gardening program.
