The Colorado Democratic and Republican parties will conduct precinct caucuses Saturday, March 7, 2020. Republicans start at 10 a.m. and Democrats begin at 2 p.m. Voters should plan to arrive 30 minutes early.
What is a caucus? Precinct caucuses are meetings of registered electors within a precinct who are members of a major political party. The purpose is to elect precinct committee persons and delegates to County assemblies. Read the 2020 Caucus FAQ for more information.
How do I find my precinct information? Visit govotecolorado.gov and choose “find my registration.” Your precinct number is located on the “County & District Information” tab – you need the last three digits of your precinct number to determine your caucus location.
Need Assistance? Douglas County Elections will be available by phone at 303.660.7444 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, for caucus attendees who may have precinct or voter registration questions.
Who may participate in caucus? Those who have been a resident of the precinct, are registered to vote and affiliated with the party for at least 22 days prior are eligible to vote in a party’s precinct caucus. Additionally, voters registered and affiliated with a party and who turn 18 less than 22 days before the caucus or are 17 years old on the date of a caucus but will turn 18 by the Nov. 3 General Election may participate.
