We’re living in challenging times – and so are our children. If you are a parent seeking a check-up for your child’s mental health, there’s a free and easy-to-access resource.
A new state program, called I Matter, provides up to six free behavioral health sessions for youth in Colorado. Visit IMatterColorado.org to take a confidential survey about mental health, and, if you choose, schedule sessions with a licensed behavioral health professional, primarily via telehealth.
If your child is in crisis now – call the Colorado Crisis Service hotline, 1-844-TALK (8255). Counselors are available 24/7.
Established by Colorado House Bill 21-1258, I Matter provides access to mental health and substance use disorder services for youth, including addressing needs that may have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is open to all youth 18 years old and younger (or up to 21 years old if receiving special education services.)
