Vacancies to be filled from all districts, apply by March 5
Posted on February 5, 2021 2021
Do you have time to give to your community and an interest in 4-H and youth development and leadership; agriculture, natural resources, horticulture, and gardening; community engagement; and family health and wellness?
The Douglas County CSU Extension Advisory Council has vacancies in all districts to fill their board. You can help shape the future of the Extension’s education and programming efforts in your community.
The mission of the advisory committee is to provide information and education, and encourage the application of research-based knowledge, in response to local, state, and national issues affecting individuals, youth, families, agricultural enterprises and communities of Colorado. Council members serve as a review body to counsel, advise, and deliberate with CSU Extension staff regarding program efforts.
The Council is interested in hearing from candidates beyond those historically represented on the committee – ranchers, farmers, homemakers and 4-H leaders – and encourages applicants with outside interests that may bring a balance of thinking and ‘stretch’ program considerations beyond the traditional.
The successful applicant must be able to meet quarterly on the third Thursday of January, April, July and October. Council members are appointed by the Board of Douglas County Commissioners to a three-year term with a limit of two terms.

Applications will be accepted online through March 5. For additional information, please review details linked above or contact the Douglas County Commissioners’ Office at 303-660-7401.
