Picture this: long, rustic farm tables draped with crisp linens, the smell of freshly cut flowers mingling with the aroma of sizzling bacon, fresh-baked bread, and just-picked Colorado fruit. The soothing sounds of a live bluegrass band begin as your family takes their seats for an exciting culinary experience that you’ll only find at the 2022 Douglas County Fair and Rodeo’s first-ever farm to table brunch.
A limited number of tickets are on sale now for this fresh new event, happening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 31.
This expertly crafted event will feature only locally sourced ingredients and immerse you in the entire process of creating a farm-fresh meal as you learn from local Chef David Pitula and the farmers, ranchers and gardeners who supply the ingredients.
Your experience also includes the opportunity to browse a tailor-made farmer’s market with the option to purchase ingredients featured in your meal, which includes a soft pretzel appetizer, salad station, brunch classics, fruits and a variety of beverages.
Tickets also include admission and free transportation to the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo fairgrounds where you can enjoy hours of free entertainment including a Vintage Car Show, a dueling-piano performance by the Colorado Keys and the Axe Women of Maine.
