The Town of Castle Rock is embracing the global trend of creating fitness parks for older adults by incorporating specially designed exercise equipment in the “Possibilities Playground” under construction at Butterfield Crossing Park. This exciting and innovative approach to creating a park for individuals of all ages and abilities is a first of its kind in Douglas County and serves as a model for other parks in our communities. Some of the proposed playground features include a Sensory Wall; Roller Table; Two Bay, 50-foot ZipKrooz; Pulse Tennis Table; We-Go Swing with one accessible bay; Two Bay, 52-inch Swing, with two molded bucket seats; 52-inch Friendship Swing, We-Go-Round; and Rhapsody Musical Instruments.
