Update March 2, 2023: Watch Your New Douglas County Health Department Live Town Hall.

What is the role of public health when nearly 95% of a community has private health insurance? If you eat out, take your child to daycare, have a septic system, or have obtained a birth certificate, you have already interacted with the Douglas County Health Department.

The new, and now fully launched, Douglas County Health Department was designed by you and is focused on your specific needs. Learn about the top five ways the new department serves Douglas County during a Live Town Hall at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

The Live Town Hall will be via phone, online and in-person at the Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third St. in Castle Rock. Those who join in-person will have an opportunity to speak personally with Board of Health members, Douglas County Commissioners, and panelists after the hour-long event.

Join online at douglas.co.us/townhall or via phone by calling 833-380-0668, or simply answer the phone when we call to invite you to join us. To receive a call just before a Live Town Hall begins, visit douglas.co.us/townhall and register.

The Douglas County Health Department helps keep your childcare centers, grocery stores, and restaurants safe, monitors disease, provides education on pressing health issues in Douglas County, and provides some clinical health services to qualifying families.
