Whether you’re a seasoned or brand-new baker, photographer, painter, quilter or Lego builder, there’s a home for your hobbies at the 2023 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. With no entry fees or age limits, there’s an opportunity for every generation of the family to get involved in this year’s Creative Arts or Agriculture/Floriculture Open Class competitions.

Watch this video to see how Open Class competitions are far more than opportunities to earn ribbons – they’re also about sharing your art and passion with your community.

Plan to have your Creative Arts entry delivered to the Douglas County Fairgrounds Events Center between noon and 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30.  Judging will take place Monday, July 31. For Ag/Floriculture entries, plan to deliver projects to the Fairgrounds on Wednesday, Aug. 2 or Thursday, Aug. 3 for judging starting at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3.

The Douglas County Fair & Rodeo kicks off July 28 and runs through Aug. 6. This year is packed with exciting events for every age group, including the kick-off concert featuring Randy Houser and Chase Bryant, two full weekends of the carnival, a Farm to Table lunch, food trucks, live entertainment and traditional favorites such as the PRCA Rodeo, Mutton Bustin’, and 4-H events.

For a complete schedule of Fair events and more information on these Open Class competitions, please visit the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo webpage.

Ticketmaster is the official ticket vendor for the 2023 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. Tickets purchased through other vendors or resellers are not valid for admission. Please purchase tickets directly online: https://www.douglascountyfairandrodeo.com/p/tickets
