Social media, school, sports, friends, family. Multiple pressures naturally lead to a level of stress for anyone, including our youth. And sometimes, just like for the adults in their lives, our young people need a helping hand.

At the ready when our youngest residents need them the most are two Youth Community Response Teams (CRTs) — a local law enforcement officer paired with a mental health professional — who focus solely on a young person in crisis right where they are – including at every school – public, private and charter – in Douglas County.

Watch this video and learn how CRTs connect with our community’s youth.

Read more about all of Douglas County’s co-response teams on our webpage, in honor of Co-Responders and Crisis Clinicians Week in Douglas County Sept. 18 – 24.
