Are you an older adult, or caring for an older adult, in Douglas County? We want you to know, we hear you.
During listening sessions in 2023, you told us you want to stay in Douglas County during retirement. You also told us what it would take to help you do that.
Join a Live Town Hall at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, for an update on what we learned and to provide feedback on proposed next steps.

“We appreciate the hundreds of people who attended our listening sessions and filled out our survey,” said Commissioner George Teal. “We heard that our older adults want to stay here through retirement because of the abundant opportunities for recreation, social connections, and available medical facilities. But we also heard they need additional services.”
During the Live Town Hall, you’ll hear more about the top four priorities that emerged – housing, transportation, in-home services, and access to information – and have an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed action steps in each category.
