Are you an older adult – or do you know and care about an aging loved one – in Douglas County? We want to stay engaged with you!

In 2023, you told us what you needed to age well in Douglas County. Four priorities emerged: housing, in-home services, access to information, and transportation.

Now, we’re hitting the road again with an update. We want to know what you think about proposed action steps within those priority areas.

In-person roadshows will be held in communities across Douglas County from June to August. To find a roadshow near you, visit our website.

Your feedback will help us refine and prioritize the action items, with the intention of including high-priority items in 2025 budget planning.

“We appreciate everyone who engaged with us on this topic in 2023,” said Commissioner George Teal. “We’ve taken your feedback and turned it into ideas for action steps. We want to hear from you again. Come tell us what you think.”
