Watch Douglas County Elected Officials take the Oath of Office live Jan. 14, 2025

Join us at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, as your elected Douglas County Commissioners, George Teal and Kevin Van Winkle, are sworn into office. Commissioner Abe Laydon will emcee the ceremony, and District 23 Judicial District Court Judge the Hon. Ryan Stuart will administer the oath of office. Watch live on Douglas County’s YouTube channel.

“This day marks a fresh start for our county – a moment of unity, collaboration and possibility as we welcome and welcome back two exceptional Commissioners to this Board,” Laydon said. “Together, we will build on a stronger foundation and lead with integrity, vision and purpose to serve our community better than ever before.”

The formal proceedings will be held in the Board of County Commissioner’s Hearing Room in the Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third St., in Downtown Castle Rock beginning promptly at 12:30 p.m.

The swearing-in ceremony will also be recorded and available for later viewing on Douglas County’s YouTube Channel.
