In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. Offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 2, for normal business.
Douglas County offers the Tax Work-Off Program to Douglas County taxpayers 60 years of age or older, or individuals with a disability, the opportunity to work off a portion of their Douglas County property taxes by meeting temporary needs with County departments. A Tax Work-Off assignment may be for up to a maximum of 100 hours at minimum wage, or the amount of the County portion of the taxes that are due, whichever is less.
