Arapahoe, Douglas counties team up for 24-hour voting access

Shared ballot drop box at South Suburban Sports Complex serves voters from both counties

Get in that work out and drop off that ballot. A new 24-hour ballot drop box at South Suburban Sports Complex will serve voters from both Arapahoe and Douglas counties.

Located outside the Sports Complex in Highlands Ranch, the shared ballot drop box represents the first such partnership between Arapahoe and Douglas counties. The partnership means voters from either county can use the box with confidence that their ballots will reach the proper counting facility.

Bipartisan ballot security teams from Douglas County will retrieve ballots from the locked, video-monitored box each day during election periods. Election officials will then separate the ballots at the Douglas County Elections office and deliver Arapahoe County ballots to its bipartisan ballot security team.

Ballots for the June 28 Primary Election will be mailed starting June 6 in Arapahoe and Douglas counties. All 24-hour ballot drop boxes in both counties will be available June 6 through 7 p.m. on Election Day.
