If you were asked to evacuate your home, could you without assistance? For the millions of Americans who have physical, developmental or intellectual disabilities, chronic conditions or injuries and other access and functional needs (AFN), emergencies present a real challenge.
Individuals having AFNs may also include individuals with disabilities, older adults, populations with limited English proficiency, limited access to transportation and/or limited access to financial resources to prepare for, respond to and recover from a disaster.
