Too young to vote? (Or know someone who is?) There’s still a way to engage in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Students can learn about their local government and the democratic process leading up to the 2024 Presidential Election by participating in the Elections Student Art Contest.

All K-12 students residing in Douglas County are eligible to submit their original work for the chance to have it professionally displayed in Douglas County Government buildings. The categories by age group are America the Beautiful (Kindergarten-2nd grade), Presidential History (3rd-5th grade), Stars and Stripes (6th-8th grade), and Let Freedom Ring (9th-12th grade).

Interested students should submit their artwork electronically no later than Friday, Sept. 13. Categories and rules are outlined on the Information for Students page on DouglasVotes.com.

Winners will be determined based on a combination of public voting and a panel of judges. For additional upcoming election information and voter resources, visit DouglasVotes.com.
