Another set of weekend closures will be in place on US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) at C-470 Friday, Sept. 13, through Monday, Sept. 16. Please give yourself extra time or take an alternate route.

As you navigate these closures, please keep in mind that these closures allow crews to expedite weather-dependent work, accelerating the overall US 85 Widening Project construction schedule.

Traffic impacts

8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 – 5:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16 – See closure map

NEW: Add a reminder to your calendar.

Wolhust Residents: Access into the Wolhurst Neighborhood will only be accessible from County Line Road. Both northbound US 85 and County Line Road will be accessible from the Wolhurst Neighborhood. There will be no access to or from southbound US 85 over the weekend. View additional details in this document.

Here are the planned detours:

US 85 full closures

Eastbound C470 off-ramp

County Line Road to/from southbound US 85

If weather conditions arise over the weekend, preventing operations from taking place as scheduled, crews will continue the closures throughout the day Monday, Sept. 16.

Please give yourself extra time to navigate expected traffic throughout the closures and pay attention to posted speed limits and signage. Please watch for crews, heavy machinery and trucks entering and exiting the work zone. Heed the speed limit and avoid distracted driving in the work zone.

About the Work

Beginning Friday night, crews will close US 85 between County Line Road and Blakeland Drive and the eastbound C-470 on- and off-ramps to pave the new roadway on the bridge over C-470 and connect the new eastbound ramps.

By conducting extended closures, crews are able to expedite paving operations and other weather-dependent construction activities, reducing the overall construction schedule.

The newly widened roadway and reconstructed interchange will alleviate traffic and create safer travel as part of the US 85 Widening Project and corridor improvements being made from Highlands Ranch Parkway to north of C-470 by Douglas County.
