Updated Saturday, Oct. 19: Paving operations are completed, and County Line Road at US 85 is reopened.
If you live or work off County Line Road near US 85, please plan for a week-long closure that will impact your drive.
County Line Road on the east side of US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14 until 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Please give yourself extra time or take an alternate route.
This will be the last extended closure in the area for paving operations. These closures allow crews to expedite weather-dependent work, accelerating the overall US 85 Widening Project construction schedule.
NEW: Add a reminder to your calendar.
Wolhust Residents: Access in and out of the Wolhurst Neighborhood will only be accessible via northbound and southbound US 85 through the week-long closure. View additional details in this document.
Here are the planned detours:
If weather conditions prevent operations from taking place as scheduled, crews will continue the closures throughout the day on Saturday, Oct 19.
Please give yourself extra time to navigate expected traffic throughout the closure and pay attention to posted speed limits and signage. Please watch for crews, heavy machinery and trucks entering and exiting the work zone. Heed the speed limit and avoid distracted driving in the work zone.
The newly widened roadway and reconstructed interchange will alleviate traffic and create safer travel as part of the US 85 Widening Project and corridor improvements being made from Highlands Ranch Parkway to north of C-470 by Douglas County.
