Nature Journaling is a wonderful way to make a deeper connection to a natural area. Join us in an inspirational hike among the beautiful big trees of DuPont Open Space. We will take a short hike, taking some time to sketch along the trail, then return to the shade of the picnic ramada to paint. We’ll try a few fun watercolor techniques and add some poetry to create our unique artistic pieces. Do bring a water vessel with painting water and a small rag. Other than that, bring your own supplies if you wish or we’ll supply everything you need. Wear close-toed shoes and bring water for drinking. Please come a little early so we can get started right on time. Please note, this month we’ll be starting at 9:00 am rather than 10:00 am to beat some of that summer heat. These hikes are pretty short, but we get to practice looking at nature artistically and then gather to paint together as a creative group. Registration is very limited. If you don’t snag a spot before the activity is full, make sure you add yourself to the waitlist!
