A full closure of Town Center Drive just east of US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) is scheduled for 5 a.m. Monday, July 29, until 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, while crews pave the new intersection and construct the new median as part of the corridor improvements being made by Douglas County during the US 85 widening and reconstruction project from Highlands Ranch Parkway to north of C-470.
Please give yourself extra time and pay attention to posted speed limits and signage.
If weather conditions do not allow this work to take place as originally scheduled, crews will conduct this work at a later date.
Closure Details (View map):
- No access to or from northbound and southbound US 85 at Town Center Drive.
- No through or left turn (northbound US 85) access from Midway Drive.
Town Center Drive Detours:
- To access northbound US 85: go north on Commerce Center Street to Carder Court and turn west.
- To access southbound US 85: go east on Town Center Drive to Lucent Boulevard and go south to Highlands Ranch Parkway. Go west on Highlands Ranch Parkway to access southbound US 85.
US 85 Detours:
- To access Town Center Drive from northbound US 85: go east on Highlands Ranch Parkway to Lucent Boulevard, turn north and continue to Town Center Drive or continue north and turn west on Carder Court, then go south on Commerce Center Street to access Town Center Drive.
- To access Town Center Drive from southbound US 85: continue south and go east on Highlands Ranch Parkway to Lucent Boulevard, turn north and continue to Town Center Drive.
Midway Drive Detours:
- To access Town Center Drive: go south on US 85 to Highlands Ranch Parkway, turn east and continue to Lucent Boulevard, turn north and continue to Town Center Drive.
- To access northbound US 85: go south on US 85 to Brandon Drive, turn west and go to Dumont Way, turn south and use the signal to turn onto northbound US 85.
Expect daytime single-lane closure throughout the week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please watch for crews, heed the speed limit, and avoid distracted driving in the work zone.
