Have you ever had a broken bone, a sprained ankle, or another injury that left you dependent on mobility devices to get around? Were you glued to your crutches, brace, or wheelchair for weeks until you were finally healed? Those mobility devices are probably sitting somewhere in your home and will (hopefully) never be used again.
Here’s your chance to put those mobility devices to good use once again. Now through Wednesday, May 14, the Rotary Club of Castle Rock is partnering with Crutches 4 Africa to host a mobility device collection drive and distribute second-hand devices to people in need throughout Africa.
Drop your used mobility devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, braces, mobility scooters, etc.) in one of the collection barrels located in the lobbies of the Miller and Wilcox Buildings. Doors will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
