Are you ready to feed your passion for the outdoors and fulfill your desire to give back to your local neighborhood park?

Be one of 30 volunteers needed to help plant a tree from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 22, at Bayou Gulch Regional Park in Parker.

Your desire to serve inspired this event as well as the launch of Douglas County’s Parks Volunteer Program.

Individuals and groups of all ages and abilities are invited to join the fun. Submit the volunteer application on or before 5 p.m. on Oct. 20.

All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, water bottle, bag, sunscreen and lip balm as well as a brief training on how to successfully plant a tree.
