All registered voters in Douglas County receive their ballots by mail. Colorado has been conducting mail ballot elections since 2014 and is regarded as a national model for election integrity, security, and high voter turnout. Your ballot is secure and monitored throughout the election process by cameras, chain of custody logs, and bipartisan teams of election judges from your community who participate every step of the way.
Ballots for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election were mailed to all eligible voters beginning on Feb. 12, and you can expect your ballot to arrive by Feb. 21.
There is only one contest on the ballot – President of the United States. Registered Democrats will receive the Democratic Presidential Primary ballot. Registered Republicans will receive the Republican Presidential Primary ballot.
Unaffiliated voters will receive two ballots, one Democratic and one Republican. Unaffiliated electors must vote and return ONLY ONE ballot and securely dispose of the ballot they do not use. If multiple voted ballots are returned in the same envelope, none of the ballots will count.
