Fragment of a cast iron side grill from a school desk. Identification came from Mr. Alex Forist, Curatorial Assistant at the Public Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Grand Rapids School Furniture Company operated under that name between 1886-1889 before becoming the American Seating Company.
