Wheel, Wagon

Fire hose wagon wheel. Wood wheel with iron rim, metal-covered wood hub with a center metal pipe. The wheel and hub were painted barn red and the hub paint is still in good condition. The painted wood has flaked paint in places. Spokes are wood. Three metal plates cover the joints where the three curved wood pieces of the wheel are joined.
Two metal plates join spoke to wheel, not original. This wheel has three pencil-sized holes, one in each wood section of the wheel, approximately centered - function unknown.
