Douglas County residents enduring hard times can take advantage of a free hot meal and have access to more than 20 local service organizations at the upcoming Strive to Thrive Resource and Service Fair from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Calvary Castle Rock, 1100 Caprice Drive in Castle Rock.

This free event provides attendees with information on where to access food and clothing, medical assistance and more while providing them with the opportunity to receive many of those benefits at the event.

Attendees also can learn about employment opportunities, how to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps), and many other supportive services.

Strive to Thrive is hosted by Douglas County’s Community of Care Network. For more information on the fair or about the Community of Care Network, please visit our webpage or call 303-660-7460. No appointment or registration is required to attend the fair.

Need help with transportation? Please call 720-515-8814 by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan 22.
