Give yourself extra time to drive C-470 or US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) in Highlands Ranch overnight this week.
Several detours will be in place around the interchange of C-470 and US 85 nightly from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4.
These closures are necessary for driver and worker safety during overhead bridge work. During these closures, crews will use a crane to lift and place 20 bridge beams, called girders, to form the western portion of the new US 85 bridge. The work is a key milestone in the project to widen US 85 from Highlands Ranch Parkway to just north of C-470.
Please take an alternate route or plan extra time. Pay close attention to posted speed limits and signage. Watch for crews.
Here are the planned detours:
Through traffic on eastbound and westbound C-470
Eastbound C-470 traffic going north or south on US 85
Westbound C-470 traffic going north or south on US 85
If weather conditions do not allow this work to take place as originally scheduled, crews will conduct this work at a later date.
Please watch for crews, heed the speed limit, and avoid distracted driving in the work zone.
