Installation of the new bridge structures over Interstate 25 and accompanying full interstate closures are now scheduled to take place from Sunday, March 9, through Wednesday, March 12.
These activities are essential to the Crystal Valley interchange project, which is aimed at improving traffic flow and reducing congestion in the area, ultimately benefiting drivers in the region. We appreciate the public’s patience as we continue working to enhance the safety and efficiency of the I-25 corridor.
Nighttime I-25 closure details:
On the nights of Sunday, March 9, and Monday, March 10, the following I-25 closures will be in effect:
From 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning: Southbound I-25 will be fully closed from Exit 181 (Plum Creek Parkway) to Exit 174 (Tomah Road). Southbound I-25 traffic will be detoured onto East Frontage Road.
To avoid this closure, I-25 traffic should use Colorado State Highway 83.
From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning: Crystal Valley Parkway will be fully closed to and from East Frontage Road. Traffic will detour north onto Plum Creek Boulevard to access East Frontage Road.
From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning: Northbound I-25 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between Exit 174 (Tomah Road) and Exit 181 (Plum Creek Parkway). West Frontage Road will be fully closed at Plum Creek Parkway.
Twin Oaks residents will use the Peak View Drive entrance via Wolfensberger Road.
The lane reduction on East Frontage Road will not be in place during the I-25 nighttime closure.
