Columbine Bowmen Archery Range

One teenage girl practicing archery outdoors at sunset on the field.

Through a partnership between the Columbine Bowmen and Douglas County, the Columbine Bowmen Outdoor Archery Range is open to the public. The range was previously a private members-only facility and may now be used by anyone for a modest fee paid onsite.

This 30-acre range consists of two trail courses as well as a practice range.  The two trail courses offer 14 targets each on varying topography ranges from 10 to 80 yards.  The central practice range is situated on level ground and offers targets at five-yard intervals from 10 to 80 yards.

Columbine Bowmen is a private, non-profit group that was founded in 1960 by a group of seven archers.  For more information on the Columbine Bowmen, special events, or annual membership, visit their website at ColumbineBowmen.com.

The Columbine Bowmen Archery Range is located in the Pike National Forest, 12.5 miles west of Sedalia off State Highway 67.  The facility is open sunrise to sunset year-round except during scheduled special events.  At times snow prevents access.

For more information about the Columbine Bowmen Archery Range, including a map, directions to the range, and range rules, please refer to their brochure at the link below. Information regarding the National Forest and current fire ban status can be found at fs.fed.us/r2/psicc/spl.

We hope you and your family will enjoy this unique and exciting recreational opportunity in Douglas County.
