Rangers and Land Management Specialists

Division of Open Space and Natural Resources Rangers and Land Management Specialists provide for visitor safety, resource protection and coordination of land management activities on County-owned properties. They are also authorized to enforce Rules and Regulations by the Douglas County Commissioners and the Douglas County Sheriff.

Rangers and Land Management Specialists patrol and respond to emergencies on Douglas County properties, assist with Search and Rescue missions, and manage the volunteer Mounted Patrol.  They also coordinate grazing and haying leases, forest management projects including prescribed fire burns, wildlife management, and trail/ trailhead maintenance activities.
