A development review is necessary to ensure proposed projects meet the vision and values of the county. All proposed projects must be consistent with the Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP), which is the document that discusses the values and vision for future growth and development in the county. Additionally, projects must meet the requirements outlined in the Douglas County Zoning and Subdivision Resolution, as applicable. The majority of planning processes, such as site improvement plans, subdivision processes, and rezonings are explained in planning information packets. Depending on the process you are undertaking, you may also need information related to the proposed water supply. The Department of Community Development also processes Special District applications according to the approved procedures.
Community Development updated the Development Reference Map and all fees are identified in the Community Development Review Fee Schedule.
