In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 20. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 21, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.

Are you or someone close to you battling illness this winter? Douglas County, along with much of Colorado, is experiencing an increase in Norovirus, and your Douglas County Health Department has some tips to help you and your family stay healthy.
Norovirus, sometimes referred to as “stomach flu,” is a highly contagious, common viral illness. Its incidence is highest between November and April, but the number of outbreaks so far this season is higher than in past years. Infection is caused by consuming contaminated food or water or direct contact with a sick person.
If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, body aches, and stomach cramps, there is a chance they may have the virus. Here’s what to know:
