Project Update

Updated Feb. 22, 2024 – Construction started in December 2022 and is was completed in December 2023.

Description

The County is partnered with the City of Lone Tree and CDOT to build a pedestrian/bicycle bridge that will carry the C-470 multi-modal trail over Acres Green Drive. The project was advanced to improve safety and mobility and reduce congestion and traffic delays on Acres Green Drive.

The total project cost approximately $4 million to construct. The City of Lone Tree was successful in being selected to receive $2 million for construction in federal funds through the DRCOG project selection process, and the remaining construction costs are to be shared by Douglas County ($1 million) and the City of Lone Tree ($1 million). Additionally, the County agreed to contribute $225,000 to Lone Tree to advance a portion (50%) of the final design costs, which got underway in 2021 and was completed in the fall of 2022.
