Pine Gulch Dam Project

Under Construction

Budget

Estimated Total = $1 Million

Contractor

Hudick Excavating, dba HEI Civil

Project Update

Updated Jan. 11, 2024:

The project is substantially completed and final stabilization efforts are currently in progress.  Monitoring will continue through spring 2025 to ensure slopes are stable and grass is taking hold well across the disturbed project areas.  If heavy rain events occur again (like in spring 2023), future work may include removal of long term erosion control measures and additional seeding or slope repair where needed.

Description

FP-P1 Pine Gulch Dam: This project will reduce the hazard classification and risk of the dam by converting it to a non-jurisdictional structure, as well as maintaining the current flood protection it provides. This will entail reshaping the pool area from a steep and deep pool, to a broad and shallow pool.

For coordination and communication purposes, property owners adjacent to the dam and within the easement can contact Zachary Humbles at 303-660-7490 or [email protected]
