Project Update

Updated Aug. 26, 2024

This project was completed in late August of 2024.

Description

Did you know the intersection of University/Lincoln and Quebec was built more than 40 years ago? Now, the concrete has reached the end of its useful life, and Douglas County completed a project to improve road quality and safety at the intersection. The  project rebuilt the intersection and included new concrete, a new traffic signal system, raised pedestrian safety islands, an additional eastbound and westbound lane on Lincoln Avenue and University Boulevard, and a new right-turn-only lane from southbound Quebec Street to westbound University Boulevard.

Construction on this $13 million project was completed in late August of 2024. Watch this message from your Board of Douglas County Commissioners.
