Transportation Projects

The Board of Douglas County Commissioners understands Transportation Investments better than most. Projected growth in Douglas County will continue to require millions of dollars to be invested in new transportation infrastructure, in addition to maintenance and upgrades that come with age. Our sources of funding for transportation projects are critical to the success of this program.

What projects are we working on?

List of Current Projects

Funding, building, and maintaining a reliable & safe transportation system...

Safe and reliable transportation projects are a high priority for Douglas County. The revenues collected for these types of projects maintain and improve the overall condition, safety, operations, and expansion of Douglas County’s transportation system.

Funding: Our primary sources of funding come from revenue generated in three funds: the Road and Bridge Fund (Fund 200), the Road Sales & Use Tax Fund (Fund 230), and the Transportation Infrastructure Fund (Fund 235).
