Douglas County restaurants and indoor event venues are now able to receive reimbursement of up to 100% of their December revenue losses thanks to an expansion of the Restaurant and Indoor Event Venue Grant program.

Restaurants and indoor event venues with physical locations in the County and 200 or fewer employees may be eligible for this COVID-19 impact grant. Through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Douglas County has allocated $15 million to fund a grant for restaurants and indoor event venues that have experienced revenue loss due to capacity reductions required by recent public health orders.

If your business has previously applied for the Restaurant and Indoor Event Venue Grant program, you will be contacted by County staff for additional information and your grant award amount will be increased. Eligible restaurants and event venues that have not applied, are invited to do so as soon as possible and no later than 8 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2020, as grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying businesses, based on the order in which the applications were received.

Owners of qualifying businesses are encouraged to review eligibility details for the Douglas County CARES Restaurant and Event Venue Impact Grant. Individual grant amounts will be based upon COVID-19 impact and revenue loss as demonstrated in the application. In addition to up to $200,000 available for losses from March 1 – Nov. 30, 100% of calculated December revenue losses will be reimbursed, up to an additional maximum of $200,000.
