A very unusual bit tong of unknown style. The tool does not appear to be a standard smithing tong. This tong looks to have been a flat bit tong modified into another type bit tong in which one side of the tong bit has a slight bend or angle and the other side has been modified consisting of a crude, handmade half circular loop piece of iron, welded to the handle, with a 3 1/2" bar welded to the circular loop. 17 1/2" long.
